The Opportunity: Building a Category-Defining AI Platform
The presentation market is ready for disruption. SlideSpeak leads this change by deeply integrating LLM and Machine Learning services. We are not just adding an AI feature. We are building an AI-native platform from the ground up. This needs engineers who excel in Stack Development and have an outstanding vision for the final product.
You will be responsible for the entire life cycle of our key features. This includes design, implementation, and scaling. These services handle complex logic and massive data volumes. This role offers continuous learning and rapid growth. You will gain mastery across a diverse, modern technology stack.

Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack and Generative AI Development
Your role as an AI Product Engineer covers the full product spectrum. You will work from the data layer all the way up to the user interface.
I. Core Backend and API Engineering
- Build Scalable Backend Services: Design, build, and optimize robust backend services. We chose Python for its flexibility in AI and engineering workflows.
- Implement High-Performance APIs: Deploy lightning-fast, production-grade APIs using FastAPI. These services must be highly available for global user traffic.
- Manage Data Systems: Help design and maintain our core data systems. Optimize queries on PostgreSQL. Use PGVector for specialized AI features.
II. Cutting-Edge Generative AI and LLM Development
- Develop AI Content Services: Pioneer the development of LLM and Machine Learning services. These are central to SlideSpeak’s value.
- Generate Diverse Assets: Implement logic to generate professional presentation assets. This includes AI-generated high-quality images and artwork.
- Focus on Visualization: Create data-driven infographics and precise chart visualizations. Develop logic for contextually relevant icons and graphic elements.
- Deliver Compelling Text: Implement services for generating coherent, compelling textual content for slides.
- Utilize Advanced LLM Techniques: Get practical experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). We use frameworks like Llama Index. Experiment with models like Azure OpenAI and Google Gemini Flash.
III. Front-End Product Development and UX
- Engineer Next-Gen UI/UX: Develop and optimize the front-end user interface. Focus on exceptional performance and a seamless experience. We use NextJS, React, and TypeScript.
- Tackle Complex Graphics: Dive into the details of presentation editors. This involves specialized work with 2D graphics rendering. You will manipulate intricate SVG elements.
- Efficient State Management: Use Zustand for efficient, centralized state management. This ensures complex UI interactions remain smooth and predictable.
IV. DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure
- Contribute to the Full Lifecycle: Support all phases, from initial architectural design to deployment and monitoring.
- Manage Cloud Services: Gain hands-on experience deploying and managing services across various cloud providers. This includes AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Automate Deployment: Use tools like GitHub Actions and Docker Compose for reliable, automated deployment. Ensure system reliability with testing using frameworks like Checkly.

Skills & Qualifications: Technical Mastery and Product Acumen
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in computer science. You must have extensive practical experience across the full development stack. A focus on AI and ML product integration is crucial.
Required Core Skills
- Education: A Degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- Product Engineering: Proven experience in Full Stack Development. You must have demonstrated strong Product Sense. You can translate user feedback and data directly into technical action.
- Backend Proficiency: Expert level in Python development. Significant experience with modern backend frameworks, ideally FastAPI. Experience with relational databases is necessary.
- Frontend Mastery: High proficiency in modern front-end development. Specifically, master NextJS, React, and TypeScript.
- DevOps Fundamentals: Familiarity with deploying applications on major cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure). Basic server management via shell scripting is needed.
- Practical Experience: Concrete, demonstrable experience is required. This may be from professional internships or significant personal projects. Show us your ability to build and ship software.
Highly Valued (Nice to Have) Qualifications
- Python Ecosystem Experience: Direct experience with FastAPI for high-throughput systems. Familiarity with RAG frameworks like LangChain or Llama Index is a plus.
- Advanced Data Systems: Knowledge of specialized data management is valuable. This includes vector databases (e.g., PGVector). Experience with advanced database query optimization is great.
- Graphics and Visualization: Practical knowledge of 2D graphics editors. A deep understanding of the SVG format is extremely helpful for our editor.
- Startup DNA: Previous successful experience in fast-paced startup environments. Experience where potential impact is maximized is highly desirable.
