The Global Support Services Engineer at TRT Solutions Limited is responsible for incident resolution, system improvements, and technical escalations for enterprise-grade machines, networking systems, and storage platforms. The role requires expertise in handling server, storage, and networking systems from vendors such as IBM, Dell EMC, NetApp, VMware, RedHat, Cisco, Juniper, and Oracle. Candidates must also hold two vendor certifications, with at least one at the Advanced Technical Expert Level.
π Key Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve incident tickets involving enterprise hardware and software.
- Perform diagnostics, firmware troubleshooting, UNIX/Network analysis, and managed service alerts.
- Coordinate with field engineers for on-site repairs and spare parts requirements.
- Communicate effectively with global clients via phone, WebEx, and email.
- Approve and manage deliverables such as CRFs, RFQs, RCAs, and knowledge base updates.
- Act as the final escalation point for hardware, software, and managed service cases.
- Assist consulting engineers with work plan creation, onboarding, and scheduled technical activities.
- Provide training and mentoring to new Global Support Services Engineers.
- Ensure SLA compliance, escalation management, and client satisfaction.
π Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- 5β10 years of professional IT experience in hardware break-fix, system administration, and troubleshooting.
- Two enterprise vendor certifications across different technologies (Advanced Expert in at least one).
- Strong background in UNIX (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, RedHat).
- Networking certifications such as CCNP/CCIE (Cisco) or equivalent (Juniper JCNP/JCIE).
- Ability to manage both hardware and software escalations in global environments.
